Business Energy Claims (BEC) are delighted to announce a successful court judgement and reclaim for our client, The School House B&B, to compensate them for having been mis-sold their business energy contracts.
The client approached BEC after an energy broker recommended and secured electricity contracts for his bed and breakfast business in Shropshire. The 3 year contracts were represented as the best prices available, but proved to be almost 35% more expensive than the best prices that would have been available to him elsewhere.
We reviewed The School House B & B’s contracts, collated evidence and worked closely with our partner solicitors 3volution Ltd based in Leeds, to begin legal proceedings against the broker.
As a result of BEC’s involvement, our client secured 100% of his hidden commissions back, as well as compensation for the brokers misrepresentations.
David Wright, owner at The School House B & B said “The help and support that Business Energy Claims and their partner solicitors 3volution have given me has been fantastic. The broker made a number of misrepresentations to entice me to use their services, and it is good to know that there are repercussions for bad broker behaviour. I would recommend anybody who has used the services of an energy broker to contact BEC to understand what it is secretly costing them, and how they can help recover those losses”.
Callum Thompson, director of BEC said “We are delighted to have gained this judgement and helped Mr Wright recover monies from his energy broker. This is one of many clients we have helped successfully recover monies for through misconduct in the energy industry. This is an unregulated industry and it is pleasing to be able to assist clients like The School House B & B. We’ve many other clients that we are working with to offer this kind of redress.”
