We are thrilled to announce that Business Energy Claims have successfully secured a court judgement after a West Midlands based care home were awarded the full amount of the secret commission they paid to their energy broker, Business Save (a subsidiary of Bionic).
Callum Thompson, director at Business Energy Claims, said: “We are extremely happy to recover such a substantial sum for a care home – an industry which has been hit particularly hard in the current environment”.
“After analysing their contracts, we quickly identified a significant amount of undisclosed fees had been built into their contracts by their broker. As an Agent, brokers must fully disclose to the client how they are being paid. This is not always the case”.
Callum continued, “Business Energy Claims are delighted to have won this case for our client. Our aim is to legitimise the business energy market to ensure businesses are fully aware of the costs involved in using an energy broker. Despite new contracts appearing to be more favourable than previous contracts, there can still be significant sums of secret commission that businesses are paying. At such a difficult time, recovering secret commission on behalf of our clients can go a long way to ensure they remain in business”.
“We would welcome any business who has used an energy broker or consultant to contact us. If their fees were not disclosed to them, they may have a potential claim and could recover these sums. We look forward to helping many more businesses in the care home sector”.
Business Energy Claims would like to thank 3volution for their efforts in ensuring another successful court win, moving us one step forward to ensure businesses are better protected.
